Sagrata is a self-catering holiday apartment in Le Marche, central Italy's hidden treasure. It is one of the greenest and most stunningly beautiful parts of the country. As remarkable as Tuscany, but tucked between the Appennines and the Adriatic, it is more tranquil and less expensive. Breathtaking panoramas make it ideal for landscape painting.
The house is flanked by cherry trees. The swimming pool measures 14 x 5 x 1.40 metres. Urbino, a world heritage site, is 20 minutes away. The nearest shopping is 5 minutes drive down the road.
The apartment has been newly furnished and decorated by the owners Mary and Julian Curry, who live in the main house. They keep their carbon footprint to a minimum, with solar and photovoltaic panels, re-use of water on the garden, and low energy light bulbs.
